Really nice installation, users are advised to follow Martin’s lead in this.
Please note – recent experience from one of our other KTM 1190 owners is that this beautiful big engine’s heat can significantly warm the oiler and the oil inside it when doing long distance (200km) of slow (relative!) or off road travelling leading to an increased flow rate of the oiler – if using off road for any length of time in the summer months we suggest switching to gear oil.
In normal road use the std chain oil is fine.

Brad in Australia has done a great write up, installation, video and photo’s ( -including his custom made Bracket!) for his 2010 Yamaha R1
Well worth a gander even if you dont have an R1 – great tips for sports bike owners!

Yamaha XJR1300
Alex writes…..
This is the oiler attached to my Yamaha xjr1300,. I had to attach it behind the left hand side cover. Good thing is that it is hidden away, bad side is that the cover has to come off to check and fill it. You could have hung it off the ohlins shock at the back but I thought it looked too untidy. The delivery hose then slips down the side of the frame then along the swing arm held in place by the self adhesive tabs that you supply. Simple really and works a treat right from the word go. Cheers
